Our agent said no one would buy our house unless we finished the basement. Well, we did sell it & the buyer never finished the basement! The next time it was for sale - saw it in the listing photos.
@financedystop A large local nursery, gathering spot & community treasure did the same thing here. Sold the land beneath its greenhouses & store, couldn’t handle the large rent increases, & had to close after 50 years. We’ll never get it back.
@DrSuneelDhand It’s pathetic to me now, that my “job options” as a “professional” woman - other than office work - were nurse or teacher. I grew up knowing this & did not feel limited in any way. Now, looking back, it’s just pathetic.
@TheHost_ Shouldn’t be true, but is: when there are lots of people seeking work, companies treat applicants like crap. There is no downside to them for doing it, so they do what’s easiest for them.
Imagine a town where any dog out on its own is “rescued” & taken to the animal shelter. A rural area where dogs sometimes are just “out”, not “lost”. What a hassle for the owners to get them back.
@dalibali2 I’m not willing to risk osteoporosis, life-long Rx or gain weight back, nausea, gut slowing, food starting to rot on the slow move toward elimination… no thanks. It’s not a magic pill.
@SarahisCensored “As the truth comes out, they continue to repeat the same false narratives”. Version 2.0 of COVID, Hunter’s laptop, Trump, trans & kids, homelessness, gov’t fraud… Facts are facts yet they continue with these beliefs.
@DoctorLemma My husband and I shopped at the same grocery store, nursery, & drug store in the same small town for years before we ever met. Lived about 4 miles apart. Had a shared but totally separate history. Our paths have to have crossed.
@choeshow So, then, if rent was cheaper or more housing was available, these people with no jobs could afford a place to live, & would not be on drugs? Their lifestyle is them crying out for more & cheaper housing? Wow!!
@MetamateDaz In my experience, dr’s notes are required only when someone is on a perf improvement plan for attendance. Meaning, they’ve missed a lot of time day here, day there. Might be on a final warning.
@Am_hailey There were no set lunch times at my job. I went from 2-3 because my best energy is morning & I got a ton done then. Dept director dropped by to see me one day at 2:30, mad I was at lunch, so I was required to change to a “more traditional” time.
