The opening event of Africa Week 2025, hosted by the @ALC_KCL in partnership with @UbaloziUK, will hold on 3 March as an African Public Square (@APS_ALC) Open Debate. This event will feature a keynote address by Dr Naledi Pandor, followed by an open discussion with diplomats, academics, and policy practitioners on Africa’s agency in global power hierarchies.
Moderated by Prof @FunmiOlonisakin and co-facilitated by Ambassador Manoa Esipisu, EBS, the debate will explore critical questions:
•Does the UN Pact for the Future offer new opportunities for Africa’s global positioning?
•How should Africa negotiate permanency on the UN Security Council?
Join the conversation on how Africa can shape its global influence and reimagine leadership for the future.

It wasn’t an accident, neither was it due to a fight or sickness
It was worse than you could ever imagine.
Something I never saw coming.
What bothers me most is he claimed to predict right but still made his worst financial mistake.
I received a WhatsApp message from a concerned friend questioning my stance on faith, so let me address it publicly and clearly.
Yes, I am 100% Christ-minded, but I will never turn a blind eye to pastors who exploit innocent people’s desperation, making it seem like “without them, God cannot heal, deliver, or bless you.”
The Bible is clear—we have direct access to God through Christ, not through pastors, bishops, or prophets:
1 Timothy 2:5 – “For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.”
Hebrews 4:16 – “Let us come boldly to the throne of grace that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Yet, these so-called fathers of faith have used their influence not to build the body of Christ, but to suppress young pastors who preach the undiluted truth without bias. Instead of nurturing new leaders, they see them as threats and do everything possible to hinder their growth—because, for them, it’s not about the gospel, it’s about protecting their empire.
I speak from experience—I am a pastor’s son, and I have seen firsthand how these so-called church leaders humiliated my father, the same way they continue to suppress my eldest brother today. They operate like business moguls, silencing anyone who refuses to align with their selfish ambitions.
Nigeria lost a true father of faith when Archbishop Benson Idahosa passed away. Since his demise, no so-called father of faith in Nigeria has truly had the interest of Christians at heart. Instead, it has become a battle of “my church, my empire,” where their greed for wealth and power takes priority over the true mission of Christianity—saving souls and spreading the gospel.
Until these so-called church leaders kill their obsession with wealth and return to the mission of winning souls, there will never be unity in the so-called body of Christ in Nigeria.
Christianity was meant to be a movement, not a business empire, and those who have turned it into one will have their reward.
