Hey guys! This is not something I feel super comfortable asking for, I pride myself in being able to take care of my own but my wife's aunt who we are extremely close to had a brain aneurysm and is clinging onto life and is in desperate need of a surgery. The doctors are only giving her about a 30% chance to make it.
Unfortunately, this is taking a toll on my wife's family and I am leaning on my life long (twitter) friends for help. I would greatly appreciate any contribution, even if all you do is share this.
While I am confident that she'll be able to make a full recovery with the surgery, worst case scenario, proceeds would help us cover funeral arrangements.
I will be flying down to Mexico to be with my wife's family so may not have much communication on here.
To help incentivize, I am offering my 2 tickets to the Oregon vs Washington game on November 28th. Whether you're a Husky or Duck (please put your twitter handle in the description so I know it's you) https://t.co/BtrnzNN2LN
Oregon spring game thoughts:
-Beautiful day and a record crowd of 46,500 (spring games aren't dead yet).
-Dante Moore looks like he put on some good weight (Raiola not so much). I like Brock Thomas. He could start at a lot of G6 schools. Best QB room in the country.
-Jordon Davison and Dierre Hill form a great 1-2 punch at RB as sophomores. Need to find that 3rd guy though (see playoffs last year).
-Great seeing WR Evan Stewart back healthy. Combined with Dakorien Moore and Jeremiah McClellan and you have a Top 5 WR unit.
-Need to find a 2nd TE behind Jamari Johnson.
-OL is the biggest question mark on team. DL dominated them.
-Speaking of DL, I think the starting four of Tuioti, Uiagalelei, Washington and Alexander is the BEST in the country. The concern I had was the depth with their top 4 backups all transferring. Guys like Aydin Breland and Matthew Johnson really flashed to me.
-LB Devon Jackson and S Peyton Woodyard will get more snaps this year and impressed.
-Defensive transfer class looks to be a hit. DB Aaron Scott (Ohio State) made plays all day starting with the first play. OLB Bleu Dantzler (Oregon State) is a name to keep an eye on and DL D'Antre Robinson (North Carolina) was impressive up front.
-Some freshman that impressed me were WR Messiah Hampton, 5-star OLB Anthony Jones Jr, DB Xavier Lherisse and OLB Dutch Horisk who didn't look like a 3-star.
-Going to sound like a broken record, but the DB room is loaded led by CB Brandon Finney.
-Special teams didn't have a great day (missed a couple long FG's and muffed a punt).
-Outside of OL, my only other worry is the two new coordinators and if they will be a downgrade. Dan Lanning had the same OC/DC the last 3 years. I'm being nit-picky but I don't like that Lanning is 0-3 in rematches during the season (UW 2023, OSU 2024, Indiana 2025). What are opposing coaching seeing and adjusting the 2nd go around? The Ducks fell way short of expectations in all 3.
-Projection: 11-1. Will be favored in 11 of 12 games (at Ohio State the exception). I have the Ducks favored by double-digits in 10 games. This is Lanning's best team yet and a legit National Title contender. Since 2000, the Ducks have arguably had their best 15 teams in school history. It's not a matter of if, but when as far as them winning their first national title.
@JackSNewEngland@Softykjr Oregon has has 1st rounders in the last 7 years. This year included a Walk on who was drafted in two different sports. You can keep trying to push narratives but reality says otherwise.
