Happy Sunday!
One thing that helped me tremendously to become a better CFO,
is that I started my own firm.
I became an owner myself,
I start thinking like an owner,
I need to build my business as an owner,
I have to learn all the skills that are required in order to be a successful owner.
All these help me become more than just a technical service provider when I serve other owners. I become a strategist who can relate to their thinking and experience, and it's extremely valuable.
Costs are just like people. Some are more stable than others.
Fixed cost: Stable, but can have a significant impact on your bottom line. E.g. rent, payroll.
Variable costs: unstable, tied to your production, easier to adjust. E.g. labor, office supplies.

Hello X Network,
As you may have noticed (or not), we've been quite busy with our relocation services (a part of our Private Concierge services, but now with a life of its own), and so we'd love to ask our friends and network for some social love by following, liking and sharing our socials with friends or people you may bump into who wish to relocate to France.

"How can I be more successful? make more money? and be happier?"
Well, hate to break it to you,
But you are not going to 10x your life by walking the same path every day.
Most people take the same route, go to the same job, eat the same thing, and hang out with the same people every day. And they complain, "Why is my life not better?"
It's simple. We are limited by ourselves, our own doing, our own thinking, our own fear, other people's fear, and other people's opinions.
You want real improvement in your life?
Take a different route to work every now and then.
Go to a different coffee shop or store.
Talk to a stranger in front of you in the line.
Overshare your stories (I am still learning to do that).
Hang out with people with different ideas and experiences.
Take calculated risk.
Start a pet treat company after a random conversation.
Write a post about whatever's on your mind on socials.
That's how we create new opportunities and new realities for ourselves. We don't wait for our lives to 10x, we make it happen.
What opportunities are you creating for yourself lately?
We are officially in October.
It's the season of reflection, celebration, and planning.
How is your business so far this year?
Have it achieved the milestones that you set out earlier this year?
What are the things that you can do in the next few months to take it to the next level?
What are the wins to celebrate?
What are the lessons that you have leant?
What new relationships that you have built?
What are goals you want to reach next year?
What does it take to reach these goals?
Ask these questions to give yourself clarity on the past, present, and future.
Be honest, hold yourself accountable, and don't be afraid to set big goals. That's how we 10x.
Happy October!
"I have this idea of doing xxx."
A simple sentence that reveals two types of people.
Type 1:
"But there are other people who are already doing that."
"It's not gonna work."
"No one's gonna buy."
Type 2:
"That's amazing. Tell me more about it."
"That's a great opportunity."
"Let me know how I can support you."
Type 2 raise your up and Type 1 drags you down with them.
Surround yourself with Type 2 and stay clear from Type 1.
Happy Monday.

Elevate Virtual CFO
I was at #CHFA yesterday helping my client with their booth. What a fun day.
My client made up a brand Kungfu Kitty Treat for their upcoming product format, which is the most adorable design ever. They know that I love cats and make homemade food for my pets at home.
They were like: If you can make this happen, you can have this brand.
So I think I am now the founder of Kungfu Kitty Treat, minimal ingredients, healthy treats for animals that Meow...
Stay tuned.
Here's something that might surprise you while trying to grow your business:
You need money to borrow money from the bank.
Shocker, right?
Banks don't lend you money when you need it; they lend you money when they know you have the money to pay them back.
Therefore, how and when you approach the bank for support can make or break your business, literally.
- Ask your bank for a line of credit when your business is thriving, not suffering.
- Maintain clean financials and regular projections because they are not only for your decision-making, but for the bank's too.
- Build a cash reserve, for your peace of mind, and for the bank's.
We all wish that we didn't need to depend on the bank for business growth. Unfortunately, it's not the case for most businesses. So choose to be proactive rather than reactive.

Friday reminder.
NEVER wait till you run out of cash to:
1. Ask your bank for a line of credit.
2. Have clean financial reports and projections
3. Build a cash reserve
Because waiting till it rains to fix the roof is never a good idea.
