We can't say enough about how impactful the @CEEPNetwork conference is. It doesn't matter if you are a big or small parish -- this conference can make a big difference. We recommend to check it out if you haven't.
A special word of thanks to our 2022 annual conference Patron Sponsor, @ChurchVision. Thanks for helping make our gathering this coming February possible.

Rev. Tommy Dillon @TJPriest and St Margaret's Episcopal Church are providing a great list of resources for the Baton Rouge area in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida.

Came across this article by @episcopaulian -- a great set of guidelines for hybrid formation & worth a read for churches thinking, "what now, what next?"

Update: all morning online services have streamed today without interruption from the wildfires. (Exhale!) For a period, we rerouted traffic to an alternate server before being able to switch back.
This afternoon is still the main concern, more updates to come.
We will update network status here later today as wind/weather forecasts predict an active afternoon and evening for Sunday, 8/23 on the fire front.
(All files and data are backed up off-site daily, we mention it here as the fires are presenting new concerns to clients.)
2/2
While we are monitoring the fires in Northern California, we have spent the past week working with our Network Operations Center to take precautions to both secure all customer files and data off-site and to take precautions to reduce likelihood of service interruption. 1/2
eformation 101 Q & A Part 2: Friday, July 31 at 2 PM Eastern. Video hardware & software, editing, Zoom, Facebook. If you attended eformation 101, you don't want to miss it! Check your email for the link. @VTSLifelong @shamikalashawn @episcopaulian @merrillwhatley @sarahdigitally
Remember, using this new feature means you will never have to find that video embed code from Facebook, your users without FB can easily find your service on your website, you can have your giving link and bulletin right there with your live stream. Give it a go!
5/5 /thread
From our first full Sunday morning utilizing the MV Live plugin, we have some stats:
1) when a service starts on time, there is a delay of up to 60 seconds before that stream is available. This new system automatically retries on initial failure, and keeps retrying... 1/5
We recommend the early start with announcement slides, video explainer for that coming soon.
4) Finally, the recurring video embeds will archive at midnight the morning before their next scheduled showing. Automatically-generated video library available starting next week. 4/5
