When drought & climate change left children hungry & schools attendance dwindling in Kenya’s Chyulu Hills, community leaders took action.
With money earned from protecting their forests, they started a school food program that has fed nearly 35,000 children in just over a year.
We were privileged to host Indigenous Livelihoods Enhancement Partners-ILEPA and other stakeholders under the ClimateArk project for a 2-day community exchange learning workshop on REDD+ in the Chyulu landscape.
