The senseless act of violence in Tulsa strikes at the heart of our organization. Dr. Preston Phillips became an AOA fellow in 2006 and has served as a member of the Own The Bone Steering Committee. His dedication to patient care and service to orthopaedics was exemplary.
Pediatrician here. I want people to know that death by firearm is not rare in kids. In fact, it has been the #1 cause death in this age group since 2020. In 2020 alone, 4300 children died from firearms. That’s equivalent to one Boeing 747 plane crash every month for 9 months.
