I literally cannot see someone struggle with something and just… do nothing.
Even if I was in the middle of my own chaos: • I’ll stop what I’m doing
• I’ll over-focus on fixing your problem
• I’ll forget I was eating, resting, or even thinking about myself
• And suddenly I’m emotionally invested in a situation that is not mine
Then later I come back to reality like:
“Wait… who is helping me though?” 😭
It’s not even hero complex. It’s just this instant switch in my brain that says: priority = help them first, figure me out later.
And somehow “later” never shows up.
