This merger is bad for New Yorkers three times over. Thousands of jobs at risk here in the city. Streaming bills going up as competition disappears. And two of America’s most powerful media companies under one roof, deciding what you watch and what you hear.
Today, as Warner Bros. and Paramount shareholders vote, New York City is on record: this merger should be stopped.
@Apple@AppleMusic@AppleSupport I even pay yearly for iTunes Match so that songs from mix discs of long ago stay in my library.
AND a different song purchased from that same album (still for sale in the @iTunes store) plays perfectly fine. Isn’t that odd @AppleSupport?
It feels like the only reason I keep an X account is to get @AppleSupport’s attention because my phone won’t let me play a song I purchased from @iTunes years ago and that is physically downloaded to my phone. It happens more than you’d think!
What’s the deal @Apple it’s right there in my purchases! It doesn’t appear to be on @AppleMusic but that shouldn’t matter because I PAID FOR IT AND HAVE IT DOWNLOADED TO MY PHONE @AppleSupport

But it’s an even more apt anthem for this moment in The Southland.
