It's a mess and sucks, don't get me wrong. But it actually tries to have like...a plot. And characters.

Gqux is just someone dropping memberberries all over the floor and stepping in it and spreading it around.

@CMDRSpiff They needed to either make the whole show structured around the tournament arc, or drop the tournament arc entirely and focus more on the cyberpunk political conspiracy stuff. They tried to do both and ended up with time for executing neither properly.

The problem is they tried to both do that AND have a larger scale conflict in the background. It just became too much.
