Really impressed with @brooks_shoes customer service. I reached out after putting up with foot pain for a few months b/c I couldn't return my shoes to Amazon. They gave me a quiz to find the right new pair for my feet and asked me to donate the old ones instead of returning them!

This paper is the result of a lot of fascinating conversations about what physical activity is and could be. Give it a read!
Four domains for development for all (4D4D4All): A holistic, physical literacy framework https://t.co/THLj3WMP3s
This paper is a representation of a lot of firsts for me, including a first collaboration with a computer scientist. Very grateful to my collaborators who helped make this idea a reality.
New article is out! “Supporting physical activity adoption through recommender system technology: A pilot study” is available at https://t.co/vtS2Jgbkt5
People want to do activities that are fun. But how do you know if something you've never tried might be fun?
In this paper, we tested whether a recommender system, like the one that tells you what you might like on Netflix or Amazon, could also recommend types of physical activity. TLDR: The system we built isn't accurate enough yet, but participants thought the idea had merit.

Highlights below:
Results suggest no single pathway or set of facilitators that promote sustained active lifestyles. Instead trajectories of physical activity are developed through an ongoing and self-perpetuating process.
This qualitative study features data from 11 young adults who were recruited based on their participation in a longitudinal survey when they were in high school. They all reported high levels of physical activity engagement in adolescence.
Initial thought: I'm going to pack a fancy charcuterie board for lunch today.
Result: charcuterie in a Tupperware is basically a luncable. Why is it only fancy if it's served on a cutting board?
Fellow working moms, what are your favorite lunches to bring to the office?
