When it comes to picking the winners of UFC numbered events, I have the exact opposite of Ilia Topuria's pro MMA record.
Given I am picking Topuria to beat Gaethje, one of us must gain a 1...
Not sure if this is a hot take but:
If Horiguchi beats Manel Kape fairly dominantly in this fight, he should skip over Pantoja and fight Van next and Pantoja should return against Lone'er Kavanagh
@Marty_379_Graic@NowUKnowMMA@Stamkos96 Ive been saying this too. Ilia didnt fight a different fight to normal, Justin was just good enough to exploit the openings there were, which if you paid attention to his fights you knew existed
Idk why ppl wanna pretend he was unbeatable when we saw him lose rounds to good guys
@CatVanDerLinde@channie_h4e Ngl im a Garry fan. He's annoying, but he's a real good fighter and having a character like that at the top of the sport is generally a good thing
@joannadangerfd I gave round 1 to Topuria when watching it live. I had it 2-2 going into the fifth with a close 4th round. Felt like Topuria could maybe still get the win if he really locked in for a fifth round, but it never came
He should retire without question
He reached the peak against someone who we were all inserting into GOAT conversations, at the oldest age anyone has in the divisions history
What do you guys think is next for Gaethje? Should he retire off that incredible win or defend? Whatโs next for Ilia? Genuinely interested in what the fanbase is thinking here.
I have a strange feeling that, in the Aspinall Gane rematch, Tom will switch to southpaw(probably to try to land leg kicks) and get TKOd as a result.
(Not an official predicition, but still bookmark just in case)
@democratgroyper@arielhelwani It is cope when Pereira wants to pretend like thats the only reason he lost. Gane was out kickboxing Pereira, i know we dont like Gane, but that is the truth. With or without the back of the head shots Pereira was done
@BenJMMA03 I dont think its overused. Its true and of course its gonna be brought up when we all constantly use MMA math to justify why someone is gonna definitely beat another. However, it is annoying when a casual is completely wrong and uses it as a way out of an argument
