As commendable as statements like this are, they miss the drastic measures required to check this unprecedented terrorism that seems to have vested & continues to “trouble” Nigeria to no end.

Calling for American military action misses the reality that - if one military action neutralizes one terrorist/group, another (even more lethal & enduring) will quickly take its place.

And continuing to issue threats/condemnations, without real actions, run the risk of turning the threats to mere diplomatic platitudes.

So, as it stands, the more sustainable & bankable solution is to constructively engage those that have been proposing the prospects of a PARTITION. They’re the Nostradamus that saw tomorrow.

They don’t deserve persecution & life imprisonment. They deserve respect, instead.

Think of the partition of India & Pakistan in 1947.

It saved millions of lives that would’ve been lost to religious extremism/terror all in the name of chasing some notion of “unity” that was doomed to be an utopia of deadly proportions.
