I have a few take aways from sitting inside Judge McAfee ‘s courtroom today…

Mr. MacDougald brought the fire today during his closing arguments. He laid out six points that spoke to why Mrs.Willis and Mr. Wade should be disqualified to handle the RICO case they have filed.

Mr. MacDougald also stated Mrs. Willis used her power to publicly threaten her boyfriend‘s wife to help push her case forward.
Mr. MacDougald’s last statement about the DA’s office being a global embarrassment summed up the entirety of what we have seen throughout this bench trial.

I also appreciated when Judge McAfee delineated a position Mr. Sadow brought forward in his closing argument to point out “the overnight stays Mr. Wade had with Mrs. Willis may raise some concerns where the relationship timeline is pertinent.
The judge, then asks Mr. Sadow, are we dealing with the preponderance of evidence argument?
Mr. Sadow stated yes, the law allows you to do this very thing.
Also asks the Judge to remember that ethical violations that may impact the case as well as acting in good faith are to be considered in this matter as well.

The states defence tried to argue how the plaintiffs description concerning conflict of interest has not been shown to the court as well as arguing that Forensics misconduct does not exist and has not been proven.
This section of the states closing argument was weak.
Testimony and documents have shown not only forensics misconduct, but also speaks to several instances where the Fulton County DA has shown conflict of interest on multiple occasions.

Lastly, as I reflect on the last few weeks of this trial, I am perplexed at Mrs. Willis using race as an argument when presented with important questions concerning her behavior leading up to and during this trial.
I cannot help but reflect on how Mrs. Willis was protective and defended behaviors of her father, Mr. Floyd and in the past also defended behaviors of George Floyd.
However, Harrison Floyd is a Floyd.
Mrs. Willis has pushed to prosecute and jail Mr. Harrison Floyd.
This brings me to my main point of Miss Willis, stating “I will not emasculate a black man” when being questioned about Mr. Wade while she was testifying.
Her argument is to be negated due to the fact of her working overtime to emasculate both Harrison Floyd and Mr Bradley, both of them being black men.

*Her argument falls short.

None of the existing approaches for regulating gene expression can bidirectionally and quantitatively fine-tune gene expression to desired levels.

Here, on the basis of precise manipulations of the Kozak sequence, which has a remarkable influence on translation initiation, we proposed and validated a novel strategy to directly modify the upstream nucleotides of the translation initiation codon of a given gene to flexibly alter the gene translation level by using base editors and prime editors.

When the three nucleotides upstream of the translation initiation codon (named KZ3 , part of the Kozak sequence), which exhibits the most significant base preference of the Kozak sequence, were selected as the editing region to alter the translation levels of proteins, we confirmed that each of the 64 KZ3 variants had a different translation efficiency, but all had similar transcription levels.
