1/ A magnetic field thousands of times weaker than a fridge magnet can boost the energy output of your mitochondria by up to 40% — and cut their harmful byproducts at the same time.
A new 2025 study. And the best explanation on offer is quantum. 🧵
2/ Beutner et al. exposed rat-heart mitochondria to a weak static field. In a narrow window, respiration jumped ~40%. Push the field higher and the effect vanished — a telltale "bell-shaped" response.
The odd part: that field is far too weak to matter by classical rules.
3/ So how? The leading candidate is the radical pair mechanism — the same quantum spin chemistry thought to power bird navigation. A weak field doesn't force the reaction. It nudges a quantum coin-flip between electron spin states, and the chemistry amplifies the rest.
4/ It echoes something we've covered before: magnetic isotope effects shaping microtubule assembly. Different system, same underlying physics.
Two windows onto how weak fields may tune the living cell.

This kind of mini-massager is why my 5 children never had an earache, why my mother never got glaucoma, and how friends cured their sinus problems. Here's how:
1. To clear eustachian tube in ears: place two balls under your chin and experience satisfying tingling in both ears when properly in the "sweet spot." Both ears will feel the vibration. This assumes you know how to clean your ears. (This assumes you are not laughing.)
2. To help avoid glaucoma: your eye drains fluid through just one tiny tube. If it clogs, pressure can develop in your eye. Place one ball gently where crows-feet develop, the outer edge of the eye. Barely touch the area. Do it about 15 seconds at the corner of each eye.
3. To clear sinuses and relieve pressure: place one ball against the right, then the left, side of the nose. Do this also at the place well under the eye-socket, just under where bags appear in older people.
4. Earache/ear discomfort beginning ; place finger holding massager behind the ear where the mastoid process i - there is a depression under the ear. Vibrating this part of the ear, as a child or adult yawns, can open a clogged tube and relieve pressure.
5. Breast health: On outside of breast sweeping upward and toward your armpit, hen sweeping under the armpit, using your hand holding the massager or with gentle pressure from the massager, this helps move fluids toward your glandular drainage system.
6. Leg and arm muscle relaxation and health: Always stroke up toward your heart, never downward, preserving your valves that push blood back up from your hand and feet.
7. Relieve tension headaches and sore neck muscles: stroke upward along neck to base of skull in back of the neck.
8. Relieve leg cramps: always stroke upwards.
9. Lung congestion: place under ribs, area under your arms.
10. Use to stimulate circulation in thyroid area, upper chest, and scalp. Encourages scalp hair growth.
All this, and more, for under $15.

Anthropic's "Project Panama" should DISTURB EVERYONE. Anthropic is secretly buying up rare books, slicing their spines, scanning them, and shredding the originals - and it's court sanctioned.
Some of these are the last known physical copies in the world. Now, they're gone forever, for the sake of digitization.
Wanting to digitize them is understandable, and I have no idea if Anthropic is doing anything with malintent. But DESTROYING rare books on purpose is both wrong and dangerous. And based on internal memos, Anthropic knew that's how people would react if this ever got out.
A digital file can be edited, updated, or quietly rewritten overnight. Anthropic could be completely accurate with their reproductions, but that doesn't stop someone else down the line. Without the original physical copy, there is nothing left to check the file against. Every dictator in history who has tried to control the will of the people has known that. This just makes it way easier than gathering up all the books and burning them.
Buy physical books, on acid free paper if you can so they'll last longer. No one can quietly change a physical book overnight. It is a reliable witness.
I'm a second-generation bookseller. My family runs Houston's largest used & rare bookstore and I'm building an AI tool for used bookstores. We got hit by exactly these orders, including a single order for 70 obscure books that made us pause online sales entirely. So I dug in. I don't think this connects the way people want it to.
Every ingredient of the viral story is true. ISBNdb really does advertise sourcing books for AI companies. Anthropic really did destructively scan millions of books though they were mostly acquired through things like library deaccessions, not bookstore inventory. And booksellers really are getting bizarre bulk orders. But "rare" here isn't what you're picturing. It's The Insider's Guide to Metro Denver (1995) and how-to-use-WordPerfect 1991 manuals. Obscure, but often not precious.
When we combed through our orders, nearly every book bought from us was either unavailable on Amazon or listed there at 5, 10, 20x our price on the platform they were purchased on. And the shipments are going to FBA prep companies: which is what you do with a book you're about to resell, not one you're about to cut apart. There is more than circumstantial evidence that this is a well-funded company running algorithmic arbitrage, buying underpriced or out-of-stock books to relist on Amazon at markup. This evidence includes an official denial that they are selling to train AI but I don't want to mention them for several reasons. You can Google it.
That's more mundane than the shredder story. The actual risk is worse, though, because it's quieter: books that don't sell via FBA eventually get liquidated. If we really hold the last copies of some of these (and comparing platforms, it looks like we might) we're feeding them into a portal they may not come back from. No AI company required.
Everyone assumes the internet preserved everything. It didn't. Many of these books have almost no metadata anywhere, just a scattered listings across proprietary databases then nothing. That's what my project is for: building better bibliographic records for these books than exist anywhere else, so we at least have a map of what we stand to lose. So the Library of Alexandria is still burning, just more slowly, and kore from “who cares” than from some cinematic villain.
(I am open to being corrected.)

Everyone needs to see the elephant in the room when viewing these documents:
CIA assessments are usually using written to achieve a specific goal. I’ve read enough of them over the last four years to say they are generally lies especially the final one submitted outside of CIA.
If you go back decades and read what the state department cables said about a foreign country, the CIA raw cables and the final assessment they say completely different things. Take for example, Guatemala in 1954, the ambassador was charged with overthrowing the government. The former ambassador not only made it clear there was no USSR involvement (didn’t even have an embassy or any presence), the lower level CIA agents said the same. The assessments all said the country was drowning in communists all bc the new government decided they thought having a foreign government own all their farmland (United Fruit) was a bad idea. UF called their old lawyer (Dulles) and instant coup.
You have to keep in mind with VZ, the CIA had been trying to get rid of Chavez his entire time in office and later Maduro using USAID front groups. That doesn’t mean either was good or bad. It is what it is. It simply means that US corporations didn’t want the current government in office.
That’s how this works. That’s how it’s worked for 75 yrs.
Lee Oswald was at my apt so much young Claudia Rodick thought he lived there! View Claudia's story here. Claudia Rodick spent the summer of 1963 largely at my landlady's apt. Susie Hanover, her "gram" was so dear to me, I named my 1st child Susie in her honor. We loved Lee!
Verint, founded by ex-lsræIi intel officer, built Verizon's wiretapping systems, giving NSA warrantless access to billions of US phone calls/internet data. Built on tech from Unit 82OO, the systems could be accessed from lsræI, giving it a backdoor into US domestic surveillance.
Project X was a US Army counterinsurgency program that sent training manuals to Latin American militaries to fight communism, teaching methods like hypnosis, torture & kidnapping. It trained soldiers to psych. break & control informants, then eliminate them when no longer useful.
Holy crap!!
It just dawned on me…
Flock is the Phoenix Program.
The Jason Group set up a sensor program that automated the kill cycle in Vietnam. It was a sensor program that tracked people and then automatically would kill them when triggered. It was (rightfully) very controversial at the time bc Jason’s were academics that specialized in experimental physicist/science and all had Q clearances and were on call to DARPA, CIA, etc and the college campuses were primarily anti war.
The sensors were deployed along the routes, roads, river, etc to track all known movements. Do you understand how easy it would be to integrate into a Flock configuration? Issue kill orders remotely? Send electronic burst to disable EVs leaving it easier to get a hit team to get to you?
Y’all may think this is crazy but the CIA does all of this in the US and has for 75 years without the automation. They’ve been testing the automated version all over the world using classification to hide it. If you think it isn’t coming here you’ve lost your mind. It all comes here including assassinating presidents.
In 1963, DuPonts urged DC to expand corporate interests abroad. Days later, JFK was killed & CIA backed the Indonesian coup that protected DuPont controlled rubber plantations. The regime killed 3M+ people & used political prisoners as slave labor, benefiting DuPont shareholders.
The people wanted documents, so I am giving them documents. Today I am publishing internal DHS and fusion center reports showing the criminalization of speech and assembly involving criticism of AI and data centers. You can read all documents at the link in replies.
"The structural connection between the Bronfman Information Strategy infrastructure and Google DeepMind highlights a major shift in modern intelligence. 🤔
The Findεrs operated computer terminals across the world, using MCI account No. to communicate btwn locations. Their network connected properties abroad & ops to purchase kids. They expressed interest in bank secrecy situations, terrorism, explosives, & high-tech transfers to UK.
What has me shaking my head is everyone is shaking their heads about a CIA employee lying about his past when that’s literally what 1/2 of them do FOR THEIR JOB. 🙄🙄🙄
You have no idea who gave him the gold or money. What we do know is historically the CIA has had front banks like BCCI and Castle Bank. What we also know is they run the narco networks. That generates 100’s of billions in cash. This has all been proven repeatedly for decades.
The only thing I’m surprised about is the CIA turned in the CIA.
