@citizens_cf, under Project #Arogya, @V_I_S_L organised an Anaemia Testing Camp-cum-IFA Tablets Distribution at Middle School, Dhandabar, promoting health awareness and preventive care among adolescent girls.🌸 Through health education on Anaemia, its causes, symptoms, nutrition, hygiene, sanitation, and the importance of IFA tablets, 38 adolescent girls were empowered with knowledge to make informed health choices and spread awareness within their communities.💗

The @SBI_FOUNDATION Sanjeevani - Clinic on Wheels team, East Khasi Hills, conducted a Basic First Aid Awareness Session at Ramakrishna Mission School, Laitdiengsai Village, reaching 112 students and teachers.👩‍🏫👨‍🎓

From managing cuts, wounds, bleeding, burns, bruises, sprains and fractures to hands-on demonstrations of choking first aid, nosebleed control and CPR, the session turned essential knowledge into practical life-saving skills.🚑❤️ Through such initiatives, @citizens_cf continues to take preventive healthcare and health awareness closer to communities empowering young people with the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively in emergencies.

As part of Project Arogya, @citizens_cf conducted a Menstrual Hygiene Management session at Middle School, Budhibinor, empowering 69 adolescent girls with essential knowledge about menstruation, personal hygiene, safe sanitary pad usage and disposal, and the importance of challenging social myths.

🩷 Sanitary pads, soap & biscuits were also distributed, reinforcing that menstrual health is a matter of dignity, awareness and well-being. @citizens_cf, in collaboration with @SBI_FOUNDATION, conducted a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan awareness programme at Panchayat Bhawan, Sahjauli, Shahpur, Bhojpur, engaging 200 villagers including men, women, adolescents and ASHA workers. From promoting personal hygiene to distributing toothbrushes, toothpaste, tongue cleaners, soap, combs, nail cutters and sanitary pads, the initiative turned awareness into meaningful action. 🌱 Participants were also encouraged to plant saplings and become hygiene champions within their communities.

With the dedicated support of ANM, ASHA and Anganwadi workers, Citizens Foundation continues to strengthen community-led practices for a cleaner, healthier and more aware society. 🤝✨

🐄🌿 Strengthening Livestock, Strengthening Livelihoods!
Under HRDP-SIMANA Sikkim, @citizens_cf, with the support of @HDFCBankCSR and in convergence with the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department, Government of Sikkim, organized two cluster-level Livestock Health & Management Camps at Kaputhang, Taza GPU and Bakhutar, Subaneydara.

👩‍🌾 88 livestock farmers participated, receiving expert guidance on animal health, disease prevention, nutrition, hygiene, vaccination & deworming, breeding, fertility management and timely veterinary care, along with essential medicines and health support.

🤝 By bringing together veterinary professionals, Panchayat representatives, field teams and livestock farmers, the initiative reflects Citizens Foundation’s commitment to building healthier livestock, improving productivity and creating more sustainable livelihood opportunities for rural communities.

Under Project #FDP, solar dryers were successfully distributed among 10 selected farmer groups in Budgam, strengthening farmers’ access to sustainable post-harvest management solutions.👩‍🌾👨‍🌾 The project team also demonstrated the proper use of the solar dryers and highlighted their benefits for the safe and efficient preservation of vegetables, fruits, and other agricultural produce.🥕🍎🌶️

Solar drying can help reduce post-harvest losses, extend the shelf life of farm produce, and unlock opportunities for better utilization and value addition, helping farmers make more from what they grow. 🌾📈
