Trinity Episcopal Church was completed in 1857 at the corner of St Anthony & Jackson St. It was moved, yes THE ENTIRE CHURCH, in 1945 to Dauphin St across from Rickarby Place. The original location is currently the home of the Order of Myths Flambeaux Hall. 1st photo is 1897
The NW corner of Conti and Franklin streets in 1937 on the left and present day on the right. You can see the rear of the Cathedral in the background. In 1937 it was a diner called The Wooden Shoe and prior to that Shaw Electric Company.
McGill Institute (now McGill Toolen High School) on Government St across from the Admiral Semmes. The school was there till 1952. The second & third photo is all that remains of the original building. It became the Admiral Semmes Motor Hotel and is now a parking lot.
