We should all be EXTREMELY thankful that our wonderful little town was spared the devastation we see elsewhere, now is the time to help our neighbours as they struggle to recover. One day we may need their help & support. Do the right thing and show that we as a town CARE.

Today we located the final resting place of 13yr old Ellen (Emma) Flower who died following a tragic & shocking accident whilst working as a servant in Moorends. Given the lack of headstones in the cemetery, it is remarkable that it still exists. @SusanJDurant @mark4thorne

Tonight we learnt that the bid to create a High Streets Heritage Action Zone in #Thorne as part of the £40M funding from @HistoricEngland has been rejected, despite it being listed on their own 'at risk register' So we ask, do they really care? Certainly does not feel like it.
