Republican leaders should speak up and defend @SecretaryHobbs (and @GaSecofState and @JocelynBenson etc.). Please don’t tolerate or implicitly condone this anti-democratic thuggery.
Former DHS official and colleague of @C_C_Krebs tells me Trump did Krebs a "huge favor" with "arguably the best" firing in the entire admin. He leaves with his credibility in tact. Now, "he's going to be the guy who stood up to the president and protected democracy."
Senators Klobuchar, Sanders, Schumer, Heinrich, Murphy, & Duckworth issued a report: “2020 General Election: Counting Votes & What to Expect on Election Day,” that offers a guide to voting procedures in key states. Find the report here:

The Trump administration just fired Chris Krebs. I know this guy. He is in charge of protecting our critical infrastructure—including elections—from cyberattacks. He did his job. He did it without fear or favor.
To use all caps like our outgoing President likes to do: OUTRAGE.
If our democracy is to be healthy, "Everyone needs to be able to trust that the critical infrastructure systems we rely upon to safeguard our votes are defended," and politically neutral.

American democracy could have gone off the rails in this election. A heroic effort prevented that. Now we need to appreciate: "Great countries are led from a healthy center. Weak countries don’t have one." I highly recommend this column by @tomfriedman. https://t.co/bOxmQRapx4

(1/8) Sigh. All the in-fighting about $ spent & which orgs were effective & which weren’t. IT CLEARLY TOOK ALL OF US. We will learn in weeks ahead what moved the needle the most & where. But this isn’t a one-size-fits-all country & Democrats can’t be a one-size-fits-all party.
A group of prominent Republican strategists broke with their party, formed a news site, and couldn't wait to kick Trump out of the White House, by @olgakhazan: https://t.co/mhqdBntWqh
