Students at D.C. Everest Junior High are getting a real-life look at the Civil War.
The re-enactments even included the Wisconsin Civil War Moving Memorial, which is dedicated to all Wisconsin soldiers who gave their lives during the war.

Until recently, the Coker House—the only surviving structure from the Battle of Champion Hill—was in a state of severe disrepair. Thankfully, it has been restored in recent years. Pictured is the house as it was in 1985 and in the present day.
