@NetballFan0225@tehecaed I agree I think when it is over the centre third it should be either umpire’s responsibility as it starts in one umpires zone and finishes in the other… the near side umpire does a small gesture that they noticed it was over a third so should be able to blow!
@primaryteachew I’ve been part time for 7 years and had everyday off and Wednesday is by far my favourite day to have off… Mondays you miss out on back holidays, Fridays you miss out on 1/2 days end of terms, Thursdays you often have to go in for evening events. Wednesday is the best!
@Brythegr8 @WhistleblowingT I mentioned all of this to my union rep. They were asking for directed hours from SLT but I left b4 anything happened. It was a dream job amazing kids, teaching the subject i love and working with some great people! I never got the option with XC it was just put on the timetable
@Brythegr8 @WhistleblowingT I raised it on numerous occasions and even had an anxiety attack with my HOD when I said I was overwhelmed with workload and asked to just do 1.5hrs instead of 2 hrs per/week after school clubs (unpaid often longer if a fixture) to manage my mental health and was refused!
@WhistleblowingT Added to this when I said I wouldn’t be able to prepare adequately based on this I was told I was lucky to have 3 PPA as 10% of my teaching hours was actually 27 hours (if you minus the 3 PPA) so I should be grateful for the extra .3 of an hour (9 mins per week) 🙈
@WhistleblowingT 2/2 I received a letter which said I was entitled to 10% PPA which was 3 lessons over 2 weeks. Included in those 3 PPA time I would have a line manager meeting & designated cover period so I had 30mins per week of PPA if I was lucky…
@WhistleblowingT 1/2 This happened a lot in my previous school and as a part time teacher I had less frees but the same amount of planning (I didn’t have repeat lessons like my full time colleagues). When the union questioned it …
@Miss_LA_English I’m in my 14th year and was ready to give up as the demands of teaching have now become too great for me (now a mother of 2) Luckily an opportunity came up in a college and I’m now excited to continue in teaching but if you are feeling like this I’d suggest a change…
@MrWardPE I completely agree with this statement and all the comments people have added below! You can only be an effective and inspirational teacher if you are not stressed and overwhelmed by all this endless overthinking! Trust teachers to do their job…
