Instead of New Year's Resolutions, I do annual themes, and this year has been a 'Year of Reading' to get myself back into reading following my PhD. It's been a huge success: I've read 24 books this year (via Audible) and I wanted to share my thoughts and recommendations. A 🧵

At home: A short history of a private life - Not-quite-science, not-quite-history, but this goes a great job of both. This book uses rooms in a house to discuss the history of human invention and (Anglocentric) society. Possibly not Bryson's best, but fun nonetheless - 8.4/10
