Someone being poor doesn’t make them any less human than you. Poverty isn’t a morality issue. I hate this “respect people based on their bank account” culture.” How about you see someone struggling and say “you have the breath of Life in you like I do, how can I help?”
this is your yearly reminder that it is incredibly rude to ask a woman (especially a woman who is not your INTIMATE friend) any variation of any of the following:
*when she is gonna have kids
*when she is gonna get married
*why she is single
thank you, have a civil 2018.
The bosses we remember:
1 provided safe space to grow
2 opened career doors
3 defended us when we needed it
4 recognized and rewarded us
5 developer us as leaders
6 inspired us to stretch higher
7 led by example
8 told us our worked mattered
9 forgave us when we made mistakes
All of us are one or two disasters away from a whole different way of living. Just because you haven’t tasted poverty doesn’t mean you never will. Operate from a place of compassion first. You are not immune.
#OneDay #Emo#Reflective it’s one of my focuses this year to invest in good friendships, including to better existing ones. To not be the after thought, to really surround myself with people who can lean on and enjoy each other. So tired/sad of being friend lonely.
me: I take medication everyday for ADHD and anxiety
guy: why though, is that really necessary? you don't seem like you have ADHD at all
me: do you actually not see the correlation there
Everything heals. Your body heals. Your heart heals. The mind heals. Wounds heal. Your soul repairs itself. Your happiness is always going to come back. Bad times don't last.
“It’s okay to not have it together every minute of every day. It’s okay to be exactly where you are and feel all the things you feel. You don’t have to have all the answers or do things perfectly. You just have to show up and try.” ~Daniell Koepke
