EU dinner 19: Malta. We spent a long weekend in Malta many years ago and have memories of incredibly ancient ruins and fish dinners by the sea. Today's dinner started with bigilla, a broad bean dip; continued with lampuki (fish) pie; and finished with halwa.

@bbcnickrobinson Anthony Browne did not tell you the truth during your interview this morning. There have been three council by-elections in Cambs. The Tories won 2 seats and the LDs won the other 2. Also there is no congestion charge in Cambs. It is under discussion.

EU dinner 18: Luxembourg. We visited Luxembourg 5 times as we returned to the Moselle cycle route over several weekends. Nestled in the heart of Europe, it felt very connected. Our dinner is bouneschlupp, trout in riesling sauce with potato fritters and quetschentaart.
