@AmyJaneBarnes Boots offered both a picture framing department as well as framed prints. I’m afraid I don’t have an exact date but I think both were likely to have started in the 1890s as an affordable way to decorate homes. Some stores had art showrooms.

Superb early #Boots the Chemist shopfront (1905) in Art Gallery Buildings #Llandudno. The glazing in the transoms has been altered (1920s?) - otherwise well preserved.
