Philip Plait’s @BadAstronomer new book - Under Alien Skies - is a whistlestop tour of our cosmic neighbourhood, and far beyond, as it transports you across the universe, says Clár-Bríd Tohill @ClarBridTohill

Our paper on the optical morphologies of galaxies up to z~6.5 through visual classifications in CEERS is now published in ApJ. The NIR/IR JWST capabilities reveal that the structure of these galaxies have a lot in common to the ones in our local universe.
Happy first anniversary, #NASAWebb! One year after beginning science operations, Webb is celebrating with a highly detailed image of the closest star-forming region to Earth. Peer deeper in the cloud: https://t.co/wnVuydKhph

@starstrickenSF@PhysicsWorld More than welcome! It was an incredible read and something that I think everyone, not just astronomers, would appreciate and learn from. Keep up the incredible and inspirational work 💕

Our classes exhibit clear separation in various structural parameters, such as CAS-M20, Sérsic indices, sSFRs, axis ratio.
We propose that machine extracted features can provide a more detailed and better suited classification scheme in this high-z regime than current methods.
@samleejackson Just hit submit then have a pint 🍺 don’t think about it! It’ll be great you’ve out so much work in dont let the imposter syndrome win now!
Very happy to have finally accomplished this challenge. Together with F. Lanusse, we review how deep learning is changing the fields of galaxy formation and cosmology - https://t.co/nskp9K3RGq More here: https://t.co/S2CQoA5ldT - Hope you find it useful!
We present to you the JWST Hubble Sequence, and how it seems to have been already in place since the Universe first billion years!
Don't Panic!

Today I submitted my PhD Thesis @UoN_PhysicsPG, including two science chapters on JWST science 😊. Many people helped me reach this point, but special thanks to my awesome supervisor @conselice and all the staff at Nottingham. Really happy day.
Don't Panic! And Thanks for All the Disks...
Great video from @sixtysymbols and @AstroMikeMerri on our galaxy morphology paper with JWST. Check it out 🖖
