🔵 WFP supports Sudanese refugees in #Libya.
Due to critical funding shortfalls, @WFP urgently requires USD 16.5 million to sustain essential food and nutrition assistance through the end of the year and avoid a full suspension of operations by mid‑April.
In #Libya, WFP provides around 90 percent of food assistance to Sudanese refugees, while other humanitarian actors cover 10 percent.
So far in 2026, @WFP supported 178k people with:

💪18K mt of nutrition support
💳USD 81,276 in cash-based transfers
Lifesaving support to Sudanese refugees in Libya 💙
Over the past two months, thanks to generous contribution from #Germany, #Italy, #Sweden and the #USA, @WFP reached more than 186,000 Sudanese refugees and host community members across 18 municipalities in #Libya.
Yesterday, @NESDB_Libya & @WFP held a ceremony to launch the National Food Security Strategy for Libya🇱🇾
As the lead 🇺🇳-partner in the development of the strategy, @WFP has provided technical assistance to the government in collaboration with @FAO & with support from @AfDB_Group
#WarehouseWednesday: Spotlight on our #Benghazi warehouse in #Libya—a hub storing lifesaving supplies for Sudanese refugees. Last month, it received 415 metric tons of food, with 610 more en route from Egypt. Thanks to @USAIDSavesLives, @SwissDevCoop, and @UNCERF for the support!

Since June, @WFP has provided food assistance to 20,150 vulnerable Sudanese who fled to Libya following the outbreak of conflict in Sudan #WFD2024

🚛📦 Libyan trucks carrying 500 mt of @WFP food aid have left Benghazi for Chad via Al-Kufra. This is an important step in WFP's regional support to Sudanese refugees. The corridor reopened in May 2024 with an initial 25 mt and further shipments expected to arrive in Libya soon.
