Today we held our first ‘Christmas Cracker’ event! We had fabulous student performances of dances, drumming, jokes, beautiful readings and of course some lovely singing. Also stalls and games that were all made by the pupils. A cracker of a day! 🎄🎅🏻 #semh

@nadhimzahawi We are dealing with a tsunami of staff sickness this term- not a wave of covid. Relying on the good will of great people, who are on their knees, to keep our schools open. It is awful- just awful - seeing my fantastic team so exhausted and demoralised day-in, day-out.

@RetirementTales It feels as if this last term has been tougher than ever. I am so grateful to my staff, who have rallied around to support each other and the children for so long now. It shouldn’t be this hard for them - I shouldn’t have to rely on the good will of great people to run a school.

@marymered Nurture and a focus on trust and relationships implemented in my SEMH school over the last 18 months. At the same time restorative practice has replaced sanction and we have pretty much completely eliminated exclusion over the same period. This is clearly not a coincidence.
