@MobilityMort Even better than that, it’s a ribbon Butterfly! A mosaic on the wall that’s her favourite bit of the route. The CYP made the butterfly and we chose all the materials and planned the map together for me to secure with the glue gun.

@HelenAshby72 Another thought (apologies, I’m on a roll!) Family take my brother out with just one person but at services he’s assessed as needing two people so they already have to budget for my brother and one carer even if one carer gets in free.

@HelenAshby72 I agree! It’s happened a few times at wildlife parks and activities such as bowling and swimming (where we also had issues with accessing the changing rooms) I know it’s happened to my Dad as well.

@HelenAshby72 I would also add the need to accept a family member as a carer. I have been in situations where I am not entitled to entry as a carer (not specifically west mid safari park) because I don’t have a staff ID. Is it that unusual that a big sister would take her brother to places?!

@HelenAshby72 Just catching up on this situation. My brother is a wheelchair user with learning disability, he cannot self propel so needs someone to push. People are not paying extra to bring their legs with them, it shouldn’t be so for wheelchairs or other essential support. 1/2
