‘Daffodowndilly’
She wore her yellow sun-bonnet,
She wore her greenest gown;
She turned to the south wind
And curtsied up and down.
She turned to the sunlight
And shook her yellow head,
And whispered to her neighbour
“Winter is dead.”

“I see quite clearly that all good things must come to an end. The summer has been splendid, but it has lasted long enough. This morning I welcomed the chill in the air and viewed the falling leaves with cheerfulness.” ~A.A.Milne #Autumn#AutumnEquinox 🍁
We’ve lost quite a few followers for opposing the Conservatives so directly
But we cannot be silent after the damage they have done to the NHS
Please follow and RT if you’re still right behind us, and help make 4th July a pivotal moment for our health service
Naturally, we could not improve on the pitch-perfect response by protesters yesterday to @SuellaBraverman
- it was both hilarious & powerful. But we figured we'd try to commemorate it somehow through music (tho not a shanty). Here's to the silent treatment. Long may it continue.
We are so delighted to take delivery of this book of the #EconomicConsequencesofthePeace#JMKeynes conference from 2019 edited by Patricia Clavin, Giancarlo Corsetti, Maurice Obstfeld and @adam_tooze. Even more thrilled that we & librarian @ClareTrowell have got a mention!
@SoVeryBritish No.
Because everyone knows tea should be brewed in a teapot (with freshly boiled water) for at least 3mins (preferably 5mins) & using loose leaf tea. The milk (not too cold) will already be in the china cup.
Isn’t that how everyone makes tea?
@SoVeryBritish This would not be an issue if an actual teapot had been used! Teabag in cup - horrendous - does not brew properly so judging amount of milk accurately is impossible. Teabag in cup should not be allowed! Use a teapot.
This is the sort of subtle, almost invisible replacement of artists by AI that we've all been worried about. It starts with fewer and fewer calls and emails until the work is just gone entirely. No mass layoffs, no severance, no announcements, just the quiet death of illustration
