There has been comment by methane science accord members about breeding for reduced methane emissions in sheep here is the science-informed response https://t.co/mVdGYLbFYC
Lots of methane and microbes talk at #AAABG Timothy Bilton talks about using rapid rumen profiling technology for high throughput prediction of methane and feed efficiency BVs @AgResearchNEWS@triciaj77@grasstogas
We are looking for a Quantitative Geneticist, or a Scientist with aligned skills, to join our @AgResearchNEWS Animal Genomics Team based near Dunedin, New Zealand. We welcome international applications from those that can obtain the required NZ visas. https://t.co/trQe3oteE6
ISAG2023 Cape Town. Presenting the discovery, validation and implementation of genomics in the NZ Sheep industry through use of the AgResearch Sheep Genomics 60kplus SNP chip. Genotyping at GenomNZ @AgResearchNEWS
Do you have a background in genomics, molecular breeding, genomic selection or a similar field? Looking for a postdoc in beautiful (but admittedly sometimes a bit damp) Ōtepoti / Dunedin? Please check out the link below and come join our team! https://t.co/cjhBlHiUl2
As scientists, we are truly honoured to accept this on behalf of all the NZ breeders and funders who have worked tirelessly for over a decade to see this happen. Main credit to John McEwan - the catalyst, seer and engine of it all @mcewanjc#scienceinpractice#PINZ2022
We are on the 👀 for a dedicated Senior (field team) Technician to join our @AgResearchNEWS Animal Genomics team at Invermay. You will be responsible for planning, contributing to, & overseeing genetics and genomics projects (🐑,🦌,). More info 👇

Post Doctoral Scientist - Animal Genomics https://t.co/TEPmxRmSSU
AgResearch is looking for an enthusiastic post-doctoral scientist to work on an industry aligned project developing statistical tools for use in the improvement of the design and running of breeding programs.
The new upgraded 🐑 SNP chip will improve imputation accuracy - and potentially alleviate the need for imputation in genetic evaluation systems.
Great work @ClarkeyShan@SuzanneRowe101@AgResearchNEWS
Significant increases in DNA markers and accuracy around genomic breeding values for sheep are features of an upgraded tool now on offer from our team at GenomNZ 🐑🧬🔬. Find out more about the tool and collaboration with @illumina in the article 👇

@mcewanjc Has been amazing to be part of this and especially the continued update of the AgResesrch SNP chips to support the NZ Sheep industry....our new Genomic 60k plus chip offered by GenomNZ@agresesrch
The FarmIQ project started 11 years ago and it's now in the 6th year of industry delivery to NZ. Great genetic trend progress in meat quality and carcass value by the NZ breeders involved with the SIGC evaluation: Suftex, Suffolks, Kelso, Focus Genetics. Genetics works.
This will be a great session, really looking forward to working with @mn_aldridge and @marcinTHEbee to showcase the incredible global effort that's going on in livestock breeding to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and create innovative and sustainable production systems.
For those sheep and goat researchers that missed the combined ISGC and IGGC virtual conference in June 2021: the program, abstracts, and talks are now available at https://t.co/FB7EJMX5Lw
