@eth_classic logged 10,163 transactions on Oct 27, up 13.5% on Oct 26.
Daily usage peaked at 13,748 on Oct 19, but remains down 14.5% since Sep 28 after a low of 6,928 on Oct 4.
What is keeping ethereum-classic:native daily transaction volume under its Oct 19 peak?
Project Triforce monitors $ETC peers.
Four clients track blocks, reorgs,
mempool activity and every peer.
Their nodes provide public RPC through
three providers across three regions.
I'd pick the monitoring layer, as it
tracks reorgs and mempool activity.
That spread can help teams separate
local issues from chain wide ones.
$ETC miners get mining cost estimates
and solo block odds from BackpowCom.
- A PoW oracle built for miners
- Shows the math behind both estimates
Showing its math makes both estimates
easier to judge, not just accept.
Solo mining hinges on odds and cost.
What a week at #Devcon8 ๐ฎ๐ณ
New faces, familiar ones, and talks from some genuinely inspiring people.
Many thanks to @EFDevcon and @web3privacy for putting together these great events, and a big thank you to everyone who came to our Ethereum Classic meetup.
You made the trip extra special.๐
We'll be sharing some videos and blog posts from our week here, so keep an eye out.๐
ETC is the highly secure base layer for decentralized computing and high-value contracts, and ETH is the fast, high-volume layer for performance apps.
ETC could even provide security to ETH, which would help both survive a standards war that only a few networks will win.

A useful analogy is to see #ETH as a sports car and #ETC as an armored vehicle.
The problem is thinking ETH can be an armored vehicle and ETC can be a sports car.
ETH and ETC fill different roles.
#Ethereum is a Sports Car, #EthereumClassic is an Armored Vehicle
@CoWSwap Always have multiple limit orders open to fill as the prices drop. Sometimes they get filled sometimes only partially.
I have to say Uniswap has you guys beat with the chart next to their limit orders UX tho. ๐
Can we expect this in this sometime soon?
I just got a fake โMetaMaskโ email saying my wallet is unverified and will be suspended unless I click a link ๐
@MetaMask can't verify or suspend my wallet.
I donโt get how people fall for these low effort phishing attacks. ๐
Always check the sender ๐
"The Coin Test" for any coin you hold:
How many coins will exist 10 years from now?
Not a guess. An actual number.
If you canโt answer, what you own is someoneโs current plan.
ETC: roughly 185M. The block reward drops 20% every 5M blocks, and that rule hasnโt moved since 2017.
Would you rather hold:
A) A coin whose issuance rule hasnโt changed since 2017
B) A coin that upgrades faster and can adjust its issuance when the community decides to
You can only pick one for the next 20 years.
A or B?
The Lindy effect: the longer something has survived, the longer itโs likely to keep going.
Crypto treats age the opposite way. New chain = exciting. 11-year-old chain = dead.
If a contract had to run for 30 years, which would you deploy it on?
To earn block rewards on most L2 smart contract chains, you have to own the token first and trust a validator.
On ETC, you need hardware and electricity. You donโt need to hold a single coin.
Two very different answers to โwho gets to participate?โ
Which one ages better?
#EthereumClassic #ClassicIsComing
#EthereumClassic is a revolutionary technology for trust minimized money, property, and agreements. It has precedents in #Bitcoin, which is the pioneer in #blockchain technology, but adds the capability of programability to its monetary system.
From how it works, to its philosophy and security, this series has all you need to understand, use, and invest in ETC.
