ASYLUM APPLICATIONS | March and March leader Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma says South Africans have followed all legal channels to no avail and are now demanding that the Department of Home Affairs take the matter of asylum seekers back to the Constitutional Court.
PRESIDENT RAMAPHOSA, WHY IS COMMISSIONER FANNIE MASEMOLA STILL SITTING AT HOME?
By Dennis Bloem
If President Cyril Ramaphosa thinks that we will get tired to demand the reinstatement of Police National Commissioner Fannie Masemola, the President is making a big mistake.
Commissioner Fannie Masemola was placed on suspension after he was charged with cooked up charges that were withdrawn over a week ago. However, the Commissioner is still not reinstated in his position.
We have said on many occasions that Commissioner Masemola is not corrupt. We are vindicated by the withdrawal of the cooked up charges.
It seems there was a bigger agenda behind the failed suspension of Commissioner Masemola.
President Ramaphosa must be honest with the country and tell us what the real reason is for Commissioner Masemola to be still sitting at home and not yet reinstated into his position.
Is it maybe because Minister of Police, Senzo Mchunu, is still on suspension?
We are condemning this indecisiveness by President Ramaphosa.
It is totally unacceptable that Commissioner Masemola must go through this unnecessary humiliation and trauma.
Activists and Citizens Forum calls upon President Ramaphosa to reinstate Commissioner Fannie Masemola immediately.

Advocate Chaskalson asked Professor Fikeni, with a bit of a despondent chuckle, what can this Commission do, how can they frame recommendations in a way that they will get implemented, considering that recommendations from many other Commissions, including the PSC itself, are not being implemented.
His response depressed me. 😭 He said first of all, there's no political will and administrative will to implement and follow up. No resourcing either for implementation.
Most importantly though, it's when he says, those in Treasury for example who will say "what is the cost of doing this", they should be asked, "what is the cost of not doing it".
In the security establishment, he says, the cost of doing nothing, is in the lives that are lost. The cost of doing nothing, it's not the statistics, it's the pain of every family going through the challenges that otherwise could have been avoided.
He's basically warning the Commission that there is a high possibility that their recommendations will not be seen through. They'll bank on the fact that after 3 years we would have forgotten. And life will go back to what it was.

Jacinta is saying what many are afraid to say. Imagine if the roles were reversed. The NGOs would be activated, lawyers would be on the ground, ministers would be travelling, government would be explaining itself and every platform would be demanding accountability.
Yet when South Africans are affected, the expectation seems to be, tolerate it, keep quiet and move on.😩
@CrimeWatch_RSA@NPA_Prosecutes General Fannie Masemola,
Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Sibusiso Mkhwanazi,
Lieutenant-General Dumisani Khumalo - THANK YOU. South Africa will prosper !

I think this Arab says it best @elonmusk.
This Arab commentator just delivered a brutal wake-up call:
“After 1,400 years of cursing the Jews & Christians in our prayers… we have no unity, no countries.
They reached space, slept on the Moon, split the atom, and invented the digital revolution, while we obsess over entering the bathroom and what ruins our ablution besides women and black dogs.”
“Must our minds remain captive after 1,400 years?”
The self-own is devastating. Time to face reality.
So let’s get this straight Minister.
Thousands of foreign nationals are appearing in our courts, but when Parliament asks how many were granted bail and then disappeared, the answer is: "We don't keep that information."
When asked how many are in the country legally versus illegally: "We don't know that either."
If the @DOJCD_ZA cannot track foreign nationals who enter the criminal justice system, then who exactly is keeping score?

When we say these people are not here with good intentions we are told we xenophobic and unfortunately we love being xenophobic our railway infrastructure is sitting in a police station 🤧
MALEMA'S PLAN TO CHASE SOUTH AFRICANS OUT OF THE COUNTRY
Political analyst, Prince Mashele, has warned South Africans that they will be scattered all over Africa for asylum and job opportunities if Mashatile and @Julius_S_Malema can become presidents.
The Nigerian government has changed its mind about collecting its citizens in South Africa, stating that if you enter illegally in South Africa, you must make your way home.
