@greateranglia I know this is not your call personally, but when the disruption is as bad as this, SOMEONE should be making the decision to allow people to expense taxis home. Forcing people to wait for several hours with no update at all and severe overcrowding is really just not right at all.
@greateranglia Hi please can you confirm that yesterday (17th)’s train departing Stratford at 18:11 to Colchester was indeed cancelled. I received a notification on the app yesterday and now it’s disappeared. I need it for delay repay. Thanks
@lennons301@greateranglia How do you know it’s a rumour? There are multiple reports now of other train drivers been told the same thing via their radios.
@lennons301@greateranglia They can’t win. Either they are accused of not giving enough updates to passengers or they get told off for over communicating. There’s plenty of ways that information can get into the public domain via the police, or by witnesses posting it, so being honest is fine in my book
@greateranglia I appreciate staff are trying to get the line running but people have been waiting to travel for hours already and are expected to wait further hours still. Are you staying there’s no alternative solution offered for people for several hours? No buses? No taxis?
@greateranglia Thanks. When the disruption has been this bad on previous occasions, there is the offer of getting a shared taxi and claiming it back. Why has this not been offered today please?
@greateranglia can you please help me understand why I was only refunded £4.40 of my £17.50 ticket for a delay that was over 60 minutes? I have appealed but the decision remained the same without explanation. Thanks
@SouthernRailUK Hi I left it in the overhead storage area in the very back carriage first class area. It’s a navy blue ski jacket with fur hood. Thank you so much!
@mattforde thank you for an amazing night in Colchester. Particular highlight was Lee Anderson, whose revolting stupidly & poison was beautifully juxtaposed with those genuinely heartfelt & uplifting moments (and Sunak’s ‘Kermit energy’). Wonderful show, everyone should see it
