This month we celebrated our PBIS core value of Respect! Students celebrated different ways they show respect for others, self-respect, respect for social norms, for nature, for values, for laws and norms, for culture and for family!! Check out our video https://t.co/zaTRROOMPs
We understand the obvious need to cut budgets. But there is no reason cuts should impact schools directly. A small portion of the overall education budget goes directly to schools. Savings should be found elsewhere & cuts to Fair Student Funding should be avoided at all costs.
What a great event with our students, staff and parents! I absolutely loved jumping in and taking on the face painting station. We also had button & ornament making, and of course pictures with Santa! @CSD9Bronx@UFT_Elementary@MeishaPorter@NYCSchools@DOEChancellor
District 7 and 9 Leadership Summit—inter-visitations in the morning, then a debrief and principals’ meetings in the afternoon. Special thanks to the @BronxFSC for facilitating the visits! Collaboration is essential! #BronxStrong@MeishaPorter
Special thanks to Tierra Donaldson from @BronxFSC for supporting our District 9 Equity Team in understanding our suspension data in terms of relative risk and the restorative practices for students and families being implemented in our schools. #BronxStrong
