I'm very excited to share that I’ve been admitted to @ASUCollegeOfLaw.
Thank you to my family, friends, and mentors who have come alongside me on this journey. And to God for His perfect timing.
Proud to be a Sun Devil once again. #ForksUp
A full room at Room To Build, our young professionals mixer with @alsatasulaw.
Lawyers, students, & young professionals gathered to talk Arizona's future: how we build the housing, energy, and infrastructure a growing state needs, and how we keep talented people here to do it.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at the
@1912Institute happy hour on Tuesday night.
It was great to see so many of you and to talk about Arizona over a drink.
Excited to announce 2 recent additions to team @1912Institute:
- @craigaruiz serves as Program and Operations Manager for 1912. He began his studies at @ASU before earning a bachelor's degree from the @UniofOxford on the Barry Scholarship. Craig is based in Tempe, Arizona.
- Paulina Cerros is 1912's Events Manager. She is the Business Manager at Broadscape, Inc., where she has led payroll and business operations since June 2025. Before joining Broadscape, she spent two years as a missionary with @FOCUScatholic, work that sharpened her skills in large-scale event coordination and interpersonal communication. Earlier, she spent more than a year as a game day operations intern with the @AZCardinals Football Club in Glendale. She holds a degree in business and tourism from @ASU and is based in Tempe, Arizona.
We don't have any job opportunities available now, but you can register your interest or pitch yourself. We are building the bench of talent required to build 1912 into Arizona's premier institution: https://t.co/N7X406XWAn
Cameron is one of the most hardworking and talented journalists I know and the nasty replies he is receiving for this post are completely unfounded and disgraceful.
We all know if the shoe were on the other foot, the tone would be quite different.
Team 1912 had a blast in Boston, MA, taking part in @ArizonaTalks' delegation to the city.
We had the opportunity to visit with MA leaders alongside AZ leaders like @DougDucey, learning more about the city's dynamism and how we might bring a good deal of it back to State 48.
Join us for an evening on housing, land use, infrastructure, and building in Arizona. 🏗️
On 10/19, the @1912Institute & @alsatasulaw are hosting law students, young attorneys, & anyone curious about the abundance movement at @ASUCollegeOfLaw.

Have you ever thought that it's really weird you can’t add pictures to laws? I see so many laws that would be clearer and more logical if we could just include a map or a blueprint.
Congress recently passed my initiative to bring legislation into the 21st century and explore including images in the text of bills–this is a long overdue step in the legislative process.
This is the “Sun Devil’s Bargain” @ASU in Arizona:
We shall maintain your prolonged adolescence, but you may keep your dollars. Our amenities will rival the palaces of emperors, but your courses will be lightened, should you need to work part-time to afford them. You will have your credential, but we shall deepen our ties to employers and thereby connect you to the modern market of proven experience.
All of this will be given to you, and nothing will be asked of you. But slowly you may find that your life has become rooted in the desert sand. That the pathways of your career follow the very canals that feed our industries. That the Sun which prolongs the days of your extended adolescence also shines upon adult pleasures: golf courses and hiking trails and bachelorette resorts. And then you shall see the promise of Arizonan weather and Arizonan manners and Arizonan affluence.
In short, we shall tempt you with Paradise, and if we get our way, you may just decide to stay.
My daughter's tuition bill just arrived: $4,400 for the semester at UNC.
Last year, it was $44,000 at a different school.
Same kid. Same major. Ten times the price.
She started at a private college out of state. Great school. But the department she cared about wasn't especially strong. The flights were miserable. Every semester cost as much as a new car. And she was homesick.
This year she transferred to UNC, which she'd originally gotten into and turned down. (Because what 18-year-old picks the school Dad wants?)
In-state tuition at one of the best public universities in the country turns out to be less than a lot of families spend on summer camp.
A friend put it well: one of the best things about North Carolina is that there's a college for almost anyone willing to put in the work. From essentially open-enrollment schools to UNC and Duke, you can find it without leaving the state.
Like most parents, I figured the price tag said something about the quality.
Then I watched my own kid find an equal or better education for one-tenth the cost, 20 minutes from home.
NEW in the @1912Institute from @craigaruiz: By promising an education accessible to anyone, @ASU not only fulfills its role as a steward of the Arizona public but also cultivates a culture dedicated to the state’s democratic heritage.
ASU, with all its virtues & vices, must be juxtaposed against an academic system that offers most Americans a corrupt bargain.
If Phoenix is going to maintain its momentum, we will need to do what we've already done for the last 50 years: Think long-term. And think outside of the box.
All options should be on the table. Desal, further water-saving innovations/efficiencies, more power in DC, deal-making w/ fellow lower-basin states who have also made cuts in recent years.
We desperately need leaders representing us statewide and in DC who treat this issue with the seriousness it deserves, and who go to the mat for Arizonans w/ out apology.
AZ has conserved water like no place on earth, perhaps besides Israel, for the last half century. We are home to a budding semiconductor industry integral to our national security; an increasingly large advanced manufacturing sector; and a growing population of young professionals, families, and retirees.
America needs PHX/AZ to succeed. We should be rewarded, not punished, for doing a lot w/ a little.
