@SteveStricklan6 @TheStalwart Fair, if you are an proprietary / uncommon language that it had no training data, I could see that being an issue. But by definition most of us aren’t in that situation. In many mainstream or even second tier languages it has the syntax down pat by now

@SteveStricklan6 @TheStalwart I don’t know what you’re using but this hasn’t been true for a while. It depends on the task whether logic errors will make it slower than scratch coding it but you almost never see syntax errors anymore on any tool enabled harness like Claude code

@Noahpinion At work (software dev) we were having an issue with Claude so I switched to codex for a day. Zero switching costs, it picked up all the skills, totally seamless. I prefer codex now. These things seem to be extremely interchangeable, lock in might be hard
