School is out, but our kitchen team is in. When summer arrives, many children lose access to reduced-price and free school meals, straining families. Each day our kitchen staff and volunteers prep thousands of extra meals for partners across Greater Cleveland.

This week, we celebrated the #FoodForFreeThrows campaign, presented by @GiantEagle!

With 7️⃣7️⃣0️⃣ Cavs free throws made at home this past season, Giant Eagle donated $19,250 to Greater Cleveland Food Bank! Following the check presentation, volunteers from both organizations teamed up to give back to the Food Bank by relabeling and repacking 10 pallets worth of French fries!

When neighbors have consistent access to nutritious food, their health improves. That’s what the nation’s largest Food as Medicine evaluation just confirmed, and we’ve seen it firsthand here in Northeast Ohio. Program participants reported an average of 10% fewer ER visits.

With the second most saves in MLB, the Cleveland Guardians, along with @meijer have been able to provide over $13,000 for families in need at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank through the Meijer Saves for Good program!

@RockEntGroup Team Members, along with volunteers from @GiantEagle, joined forces to pack over 50,000 self-stable meals purchased through Meals of Hope to be distributed across Northeast Ohio by the @CleFoodBank!
