We can – and must – save the ecosystems that sustain us and keep our climate goals within reach.
The survival of our planet — and our own — is on the line.
Let us choose wisely.
Let us choose life.
Let us make peace with nature. #COP16Colombia
Landed in beautiful Cali to participate in #COP16Colombia. Looking forward to advance solutions for the nature and climate crises, with Indigenous Peoples and local communities at the forefront.
For humanity to thrive, nature must flourish.
Destroying nature inflames conflict, hunger & disease, fuels poverty, inequality & the climate crisis.
The Global Biodiversity Framework promises to reset relations with Earth.
The task of #COP16Colombia is to convert words into action.

Blessed to have been with #IndigenousPeoples on the eve of their day in the beautiful Comuna Kichwa Guacamayos, Ecuador, together with my brother @JUANJINTIACH and @PNUDEcuador recognizing and honoring their climate and nature leadership.
#IndigenousPeoples are key agents of change in climate action.
Yet, they are often excluded from decision-making in climate policies and negotiations.

@UNDSS@UN I am coming out of the SSAFE training in New Jersey (for UN personnel in NY) feeling that I learned so much from my very experienced instructors and colleagues. Thank you @UNDSS!
A new studies finds that tree bark removes methane from the atmosphere, making trees 10% even more better for climate than we previously thought!
