Here it is! My vision and priorities for leading @WHO.
Driven by global health, grounded in experience and inspired by what we can achieve together.
More to come. If you believe in the power of public health, join me.
One can’t always tell how polluted the air is just by looking at the sky.
And terms like PM2.5, AQI, or super pollutants don’t exactly make things clearer.
Here’s what they mean, and what they can tell us about the air we breathe: https://t.co/MV9FHvxOkF
Honoured to be nominated by Spain as a candidate for Director-General of the @WHO
I am grateful for this trust and for the many colleagues and communities who have shaped my life in public health. I believe in WHO.

When air pollution threatens even a global spectacle like F1, will we finally treat clean air as a non negotiable public health priority?
Indonesia’s fires, Singapore’s smog, India’s air pollution; transboundary pollution demands regional cooperation, accountability & prevention.
Our children cannot afford borders in the fight for clean air.
Guessing that only @andyburnham or #10 will have had authority (or ‘no objection’) to let @angelaeagle publish with this precise delay at key stage of @CommonsEAC inquiry into…#AirQuality
Ozone is the most irritant gas for humans. @angelaeagle claims "There were no measured exceedances of the ozone population information threshold of 180 µgm-3 in 2025". Defra's website shows exceedances of 180 on five days in 2025 cc @tobyperkinsmp@BarryGardiner@CommonsEAC https://t.co/jHSxFnRZMG
Awaab’s Law set legal deadlines for social housing landlords to fix dangerous damp and mould - and is already helping to drive up standards in the social housing sector.
We’re now moving to extend it to private landlords so that England’s 11 million private renters can get the same protections. Extending his law could more than double the number of homes covered by legal deadlines to fix dangerous hazards.
