Los Angeles is the second most populous city in the United States, yet has 15 council members. New York City has 51, and Chicago has 50. Furthermore, Los Angeles must switch its voting system from the Louisiana jungle primary to ranked-choice voting. 🧵👇🏿
oy! if he were a private citizen urging harm to a congresswoman, he could be arrested; as US president, he is literally above US law.
T***p can threaten anyone---anyone at all; but no one dares threaten T***p. ridiculous paradox in a so-called democracy.
This is an archive from a 1996 website called a Foreign Affair which was a mail order bride Company and Melania is advertised in it at about age 17. Look at the Countries they worked in too like Russia.
🚨BREAKING: A U.S. citizen was riding his bike in Laredo, Texas… when Border Patrol agents pulled alongside him and illegally tried to block him in.
When he kept riding, they chased him down, physically grabbed him by the arm, and immediately started demanding identification and asking where he was from.
He told them he born in Laredo, Texas.
But that was not good enough.
The agent asked, “What high school did you go to?”
He answered that, too… and they still kept demanding ID, over and over again.
The Fourth Amendment exists for a reason. In America, law enforcement don’t get to randomly stop people, physically grab them, and demand identification because they feel like it.
Being on a bike isn’t a crime.
You also don’t have to carry an ID on you unless you are operating a motor vehicle… which he was not.
So, demanding an ID, without probable cause, is illegal.
And the cherry on top? When the man went to use his phone, an agent tried to stop him by grabbing it… apparently unaware the entire encounter was already being recorded by his glasses.
If Border Patrol can stop an American born citizen riding his bike, demand his papers, and put their hands on him without stating a lawful reason… every American should be paying attention.

It is a moral failure of our country that we changed the rules to create a trillionaire while doing nothing about the 771,000 homeless and over 18 million who do not have enough to eat.
Jeffrey Epstein used legal fee payments to control witnesses and evade justice.
His estate is still doing it.
Lesley Groff testified before House Oversight this week. Her legal fees are paid by the Epstein estate.

It's hard to fathom how deeply evil this is, and that we have people running our country who get sick pleasure from sending women fleeing violence in Iran to an African country in the middle of a brutal civil war.

30 years ago, the Bland family sold 87 acres of farmland to the Texas Parks and Recreation Foundation for $10 with one stipulation in the deed: the land must be turned into a public park in Williamson County.
Last year, the city of Taylor, Texas, sold that land to the data center developer Blueprint for $10 million. The Bland family's dream of creating a community hub will be erased for a 135,000-square-foot data center complex.
From Blueprint's $1 billion data center project, Taylor is projected to generate $30 million in tax revenue over the next decade.
Despite public protests, Taylor, Texas, said on its website that there was no way to deny construction of the data centers.

A man in Florida is suing Jacksonville Beach police after they relied on an incorrect facial-recognition result to arrest him for a crime in a city he never visited. The ACLU says police concealed evidence that he couldn't have committed the crime, including facts about distance and license-plate-reader searches.
They're locking people up without a positive ID of their suspect? This is criminal and outrageous.
Dear @DAGToddBlanche: You will be disbarred. You will be investigated next year. And if the facts warrant it, you will be prosecuted by the next Administration.
November is coming.
In 2020, Emory University published an epidemiological study saying that every $1 increase in the minimum wage state to state reduces the suicide rate by 6%.
That means that boosting the minimum wage by $1 could have saved 27,550 lives lost to suicide from 1990 to 2015.
