The first building permit was issued in Spokane County for rebuilding after the fires and this is one of the requirements there seem to be some confusion so I did a little bit research and just putting this out there from Google AI. 🤖 I know personally that some of these are very expensive as I’m sure you’re aware especially when they’re removing asbestos even a tiny amount can be extremely costly.

⚠️ IMPORTANT SPOKANE FIRE CLEANUP & DISPOSAL STEPS
If your house burned down in the Spokane Complex Fires, do not load up your truck and head to a dump yet. Because of toxic ash, asbestos, and household hazards, Spokane County solid waste facilities have extremely strict rules. If you don't follow this sequence, your load will be rejected, and your building permits will be delayed.

STEP 1: Wait for the EPA to clear Household Hazards (No Cost)
The Spokane Regional Health District issued an emergency order. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and FEMA are going property-by-property to automatically clear immediate hazards (propane tanks, fuel, vehicle batteries, pesticides) out of the rubble at no cost to you.
