🌊 Last week's annual auction for Contracts for Difference secured 9.6 gigawatts (GW) of new renewable energy capacity for the UK, and saw the country maintain its global leadership in marine energy with six new tidal stream projects totalling 28MW to provide clean, reliable and predictable energy 🌊

130MW of tidal energy is expected to be operational by 2029, and it could ultimately meet 11% of the UK’s electricity demand📈
