2025 Peoria Sunday Morning League Season Moment #10
Firehouse Pizza Expos kept their season alive with a 9–2 playoff win over the Tin Lizard Titans in an elimination game.
Jackson Chatterton set the tone with a perfect 4-for-4 night and four runs scored, while Stephen Stufflebeam delivered the big blows, going 3-for-4 with four RBIs proving why he was voted 2025 PSML MVP. Nash Clementz added two hits and a run, and Chase Mason drove in three runs to round out a balanced offensive attack.
On the mound, Garrett Frampton was dominant when it mattered most, throwing a complete game, allowing just two runs, and striking out six.

“2024 PSML Batting Champion, Ben Kelly picks up 3 hits and scores game winning run, courtesy of Nash Clementz’s walk-off single to beat Mariners 4-3” (7/21/24)
Expos’ utility man, Ben Kelly (Grinnell College) would pick up 3 hits, including a double, score 2 runs, and steal a base in this Sunday morning matchup between the Firehouse Pizza Expos and the Movesmart Mariners.
Expos 3rd baseman, Nash Clementz (SRC) would also collect 3 hits in the ball game, including the walk-off singles to score Kelly from 2nd base in the bottom of the 7th inning.
Ben Kelly would go on to win the Peoria Sunday Morning League 2024 Batting Title with his 25 hits and .417 average.

“Swanson 11 Ks in 5 IP to beat Royals 2-1” (7/7/24)
The hard throwing St. Charles Community College pitcher, Joe Swanson started the game for the Firehouse Expos. He would go 5 innings, allow only 1 hit, and 1 ER while striking out 11 Royals batters.
Then Brock Carver (PND) would finish the game for the Expos on the mound striking out 3 Royals batters in 2 IP, allowing 0 baserunners.
The Sunday morning contest at Eastside featured terrific pitching on the other side of the diamond, as Royals pitcher, Broker Bailey (ICC) would go 6 IP, allowing only 1 ER and strike out 6 Expos batters.
For the Expos: Jude Strahm (Blackhawk College) had 2 Hits, Caleb Edwards (Spoon River College) scored 1 Run, Ben Kelly(Grinnell College) had 1 Hit, 1 RBI, and Nash Clementz (Spoon River College) has the game winning RBI in the top of the 6th to score Ben Frericks (Knox College) from 3rd base who pinch ran for Nathan Husser (College of Lake County)
