💡Patient Interaction Tip

If your patient looks hesitant while you’re clerking, soften your tone.

Start with neutral questions like ‘How long have you noticed this?’

Build trust first, get the details later.

@enislostherswag This is so relatable and it’s worse when you’re studying PASSIVELY.

Try studying actively. Take a lecture slide from a class you attended, upload it on an AI, form MCQs and answer them blindly.

Then correct yourself by reading through the slides for the answers.

💡Gastroenterology Clerking Tip

Category: Emergency — Obstruction

When a patient says ‘I haven’t passed stool or flatus,’ that’s your cue to think of obstruction. Ask when it started and if they have vomited. Then document it fast and clear.
