In folklore, the October Owl is not cursed but compassionate, granting peace by guiding souls across the threshold between life and death. To see one, is to be chosen not doomed. Its silent wings carry a promise, that no one crosses alone. For the owls, they say, βhelp the lost find their way home.β Even in death, their ancient kindness lingers forever.
"Black flies on the windowsill
Winter stole summer's thrill
maybe you were the ocean when I was just a stone"
This song is about two people who shared a season
and then became strangers in the same room.

The Black Stallion (1979) combines French Camargue horses, beautiful music, and no dialog in this part of the movie. Executive producer Francis Coppola chose nature documentarian Carroll Ballard to direct. Beautiful.
