Chris Vasquez

CPO @AWeber where I help people turn their interest into a business.

[Chris Vasquez @ClickPop]

@kaleighf I would definitely use one of the more powerful models. Fable if you're going the Anthropic route.

[Chris Vasquez @ClickPop]

@kaleighf 100% yes. Just fire up Claude Code, give it a link to the episodes you've been on (or just tell it the shows and ask it to find them) and tell it what you want. I've done something similar mashing up videos.

[Chris Vasquez @ClickPop]

@alexh459 If you haven't made a decision yet, I'd love to have you at AWeber. How many subscribers in your audience?

[Chris Vasquez @ClickPop]

If you've been unhappy with beehiiv and the price increase has you looking for alternatives, I'd love to have you at @AWeber . We've been on a tear releasing audience building and email marketing tools and are always looking for more small businesses to serve.

I’m normally a fan of slightly odd logos that break convention; but something about the the Instagram logotype sticks in my craw. The collection of rules broken just don’t feel intentional or connected. It has a vague air of AI (and I don’t mean slop, just sterility).

[Chris Vasquez @ClickPop]

Nothing is more helpful to making a product people love as a user willing to tell you what they hate about it.

[Nicholas Kristof @NickKristof]

.@elonmusk says that no one can name a person who died from his aid cuts. In fact, I've met the kids who are dying, and I've talked to the families who lost children. In my columns, I've cited many, many names of people who have died because of Musk's aid cuts. A few examples:
*Yamah Freeman was a 23-year-old woman who died in childbirth because Musk cut funding for the diesel for ambulances in her part of Liberia. She couldn't get to a hospital and died as people were carrying her there. I talked to her parents and sister in their village.
*Gbessey Kiadu, age 1, died of malaria because of his cuts to malaria medication in Liberia. I talked to his mom in her village.
*Ibrahim Koroma, an infant, died of AIDS in Sierra Leone after he interrupted HIV supplies. I talked to health workers who cared for him.
*Achol Deng was an 8-year-old girl with HIV in South Sudan who died when Musk cut funding for the health care worker who provided her medicines. I talked to the healthcare workers.
I could go on and on. In almost every village you go to in South Sudan, Uganda, Liberia, Sierra Leone or other countries I reported in, you find people dying because of aid cuts. I challenge Musk: Come with me on a reporting trip, and we'll talk to these moms and dads, and you'll see the dying children themselves. I think if you see the kids whose lives are at stake, maybe you'll change your mind.

[Nicholas Kristof @NickKristof]

Elon Musk says that no one died because of his demolition of USAID, and that "Kristof is lying through his teeth." So here I invite him to join me on a visit to Africa to see for himself: https://t.co/TVEoFX8gzj

Meta selling compute is wild. They had claimed that all of their AI build out was for internal purposes. This shows they clearly don't have a business case for all the compute they've built.

[Chris Vasquez @ClickPop]

Finding something worth building is much more difficult than building something.

[Chris Vasquez @ClickPop]

@kaleighf @beehiiv Where are you moving from?

[Chris Vasquez @ClickPop]

Interesting effect of the accessibility of AI design is that good design is becoming more of a status symbol. In a world where anyone can create least common denominator design, high quality brand design is a luxury good that says something meaningful about your company.

[Chris Vasquez @ClickPop]

@scohen This was a pretty brutal comparison. Kit's builders have always been a little under-powered but wild to see the head to head.

[Chris Vasquez @ClickPop]

@Timodc The fan base is still so mad that blood is leaking from our eyes.

[Chris Vasquez @ClickPop]

@Shpigford Hard. You'll probably be able to get something up and running quickly, but I would be willing to bet you'll end up in a delivery nightmare once you actually get to any meaningful volume.

[Chris Vasquez @ClickPop]

I'm going live at 11:00am eastern to answer all your questions about signup forms and to help you get your AWeber forms live.

[Chris Vasquez @ClickPop]

@SeanTin018 @ZafiraRajan Holy moly... that's really awesome. How long did it take to make?

[Chris Vasquez @ClickPop]

Google Search becoming fully conversational with individually personalized results is a bad thing. Everyone is going to end up with an isolated echo chamber completely tailored to affirm their priors.

[Chris Vasquez @ClickPop]

I've been adding whimsy to all areas of my life lately and it's even impacted my signup form.

[Chris Vasquez @ClickPop]

@EliseDarma You can make things like earnings calculators, onboarding quizzes to pre-qualify and segment folks, and even just great looking full page welcome mats in just a minute or two. Would love to have you try it out on @AWeber.

[Chris Vasquez @ClickPop]

@EliseDarma I love how you teach people about growth through Instagram. My wife built her entire interior design business around her brand on Insta.

We just released a form builder & I've been playing with form ideas for my favorite creators. Here's what I came up with for you!
