@robin_j_brooks Those #MMT fans would probably be saying governments shouldn't be borrowing from the bond market in the first place. Borrow from the central bank and governments don't need to worry about yields. Governments should never borrow from outside their area of taxation.

@donaldjmontgome @janeharbison12 @michaelwhite Either #Ofsted has to get it right every time or there should be a correction/appeal mechanism. There isn't one and the data suggests #Ofsted gets it wrong up to 50% of the time.

All teachers are qualified. They know their subject and they know how to teach it.
Some get better results for their students than others but that is not what #Ofsted is interested in.

So multi-millionaire @RishiSunak only paid 22% tax on his £5m earnings. And now we know that @Keir_Starmer paid 33% tax on income that was about 10x lower than the PM's. So much for a progressive tax system.

Apparently @RishiSunak paid over £1m in tax in the last three years. But the point the media fail to note is that this is only 22% of his £5m income. That is less than the average UK worker pays. Disgusting!!!!

@Rachelegymgirl @Miss_Snuffy I didn't say they had never taught, although that is apparently true for a minority. Most #Ofsted inspectors are ex-teachers, but not necessarily very good ones, or ones who have taught the most difficult subjects or challenging students. They mostly work in management roles.

@Rachelegymgirl @MDteach84 @Miss_Snuffy Teachers do not want to do the best by #Ofsted standards. They want to do the best for their students. They want to get the best results, not blindly follow the "correct" process, particularly if the process is flawed.
