NEW- Mickey Reece’s @Agnes_Movie is a religious horror film that spends more time ruminating on trauma than it does on jump scares. Which isn’t to say it doesn’t lean hard into the horror aesthetic – expect some fright wigs and flesh tearing. Read: https://t.co/3vokRhJFwC

[In Review Online @InRO]

#Agnes #MickeyReece | "Agnes is part horror film and part camp comedy, a drama of isolation and melancholy, and an investigation of the ways in which faith both shields us from and disguises the harsher realities of a mundane world."

Tribeca Film Fest Film #3 - AGNES: The 1st half plays as if 90s era Hal Hartley one day decided to make an exorcism film; whereas the 2nd half becomes a somber meditation on if faith is possible in a world bereft of morality. Delightfully idiosyncratic. Never change, Mickey Reece

Mickey Reece’s @ClimateHunter has some of the funnest, funniest performances I saw all last year, and is so admirably confident in its deep weirdness. Really good grab, @Shudder! 🦇

[The Dark Open Mic Night of The Soul @LukeLeverett]

Climate of the Hunter (‘19) is pretty special: a talky vampiric indie that turns out to be stylized as all fuck. I’m hesitant to say things like “low budget Wes Anderson but middle aged weirdos in Oklahoma” but I don’t know what else to say. Thisa charming, odd, cool flick.

[Climate of the Hunter @ClimateHunter]

Now on @Shudder!🧛‍♂️

[Shudder @Shudder]

Features "fantastic genre imagery, utilizing [Reece's] style of a strange narrative, oddball characters, and an uncommon setting."
