NJ is taking a holistic approach to grid planning and modernization to meet our clean energy and economic development goals and make our grid more responsive and affordable, our Executive Director Eric Miller shared at @NJUtilities Annual Conference panel on Grid Reliability.
PJM’s Executive Director of Governmental Services Jason Stanek joined together with Paul Heitmann of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, Richard Mroz of Archer Public Affairs, Michael Demas of JCP&L, Ed Grey of PSE&G and Eric Miller of the New Jersey Governor’s Office on Climate Action for a panel on grid modernization at NJUA’s Annual Conference titled ‘Establishing the Grid Reliability Plan for NJ’s Energy Master Plan.’
Stanek highlighted PJM’s work to prepare for the grid of the future, including enhanced electrification and data center development and PJM’s focus on reliability within a changing energy landscape. He also referenced the collaboration at play with New Jersey and all states in the PJM footprint to ensure reliability through this ongoing energy transition.

An exciting week for Clean Energy! The @NJBPU unanimously approved two awards in its third solicitation for 3,742 MW of offshore wind capacity. The Leading Light Wind project is expected to generate up to 2,400MW. The Attentive Energy Two project is expected to provide 1342MW.
